My Friend

I gazed at the great blue sky, watching the clouds go by. I wondered who or what sentient beings live in the vast unknown.

“Hello my friend,” I said. Mesmerized by the depth of the sky, I held my gaze.

In a while, I could sense a piercing “pair of eyes” staring back at me.
I felt the kinship, a familiarity, a bond.

A universal belonging embraced me, and in my internal space I could feel my sister, my brother, my friend communing with me.

A oneness enveloped me, and I knew all will be well as the seasons come and go, the millennia come and go, and the eons come and go.

The universe remains forever changing through the process of birth, death, and rebirth. The cycle continues throughout eternity!

For “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, KJV).
